Description

Known as the 'Arizona Monster,' the Gold Course at Wigwam was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1965. It measures 7,345 yards, par 72, and is the most demanding of the three Wigwam courses. Narrow landing areas, deep bunkers, and length combine for a championship test. It has hosted numerous state and regional tournaments. The shared practice complex includes a driving range and short game areas.

Have a chance to play the red course, as well as most of the gold. Everything was in excellent shape, the greens rolled superbly. I much enjoyed my time here, though the cart girl was notably absent on the back nine. I can't wait till I get to come here again

My son and I played the gold course today. The putting green and driving range were just OK. But the golf course was sneaky difficult. The greens were firm and hard to hold and we’re well protected with lots of water and several sand traps. it is a great course to play and is very difficult.

Nice facilities, driving range, chipping, putting practice areas. We played the BLUE course. It is a pretty with a fair layout, but not scenic. Some of the greens are quite tricky. Some of the signage could be better for getting around. You also need to check with pro shop or starter to get the pin positions for the day. Flags are not red, white , blue. Heads up drink cart does NOT HAVE sandwiches only light treats and drinks. There is no snack shop at the 9th hole for the blue course. You only arrive there after the 15th hole. Hot dogs and sandwiches there.

Wigwam was a great venue for us kids golf. Thanks for hosting! Blue course was hard around the greens for the kids. Hard and fast surface are them up on bad shots! Ouf, some tears and some smiles. But amazing facility all around!

I really enjoyed going to this place. I was specifically looking for something that I saw inside of a magazine to eat but they didn't open till 5:00 so I ended up eating in their local eatery. I definitely would go back again and maybe next time around stay there.
