Heron Lakes Country Club for the WIN! I was planning a charity golf tournament with zero clue of the game of golf or tournament planning, with 3 months to do so. (Right?! I was completely green, pun intended.) Josh was fantastic in teaching me ALL the things, preparing me for everything I needed to know, and he literally held my hand from start to finish. His coaching and client support was phenomenal every step of the way. The team— Calvin, Rick, Leif, and the young guys were great in supporting me with the heavy lifting, reassurance that everything was fine, and giving me tips on the operations and facilities things that I didn’t know to think of. I was truly in the best hands for all things golf with these guys! I am excited to return for next year’s tournament and work with this group again. I’m even looking forward to popping by for some of the themed dinner nights that the wonderful guy behind the bar shared with me. All in all— We had a fantastic 1st event (13 teams strong). Clean golf course, love the environment, I got there kind of late in the day with husband, but the bartender spotted me as he was headed to the bathroom and started chatting with me and he was incredibly sweet. I would have stayed a little while to get a few drinks just for the wonderful customer service if it wasn’t for my husband being so excited to play since we got there late, but maybe next time! We had a wonder time! :)

Course was in great shape in early January and HIGHLY recommend swinging by Oasis after your round and getting the chicken quesadilla made by Chris! Can confirm it’s the best quesadilla in the state!

Came here back in the day and recently started back and let me say, the course is phenomenal!! Signed back up for a membership and come a couple times a week now! And Josh in the clubhouse makes the transaction smooth and fast to get you on the course!!! It’s a must play!!!!!

Go give them a chance. You can't ask a course to do anything but try to improve and they are doing that. Yes prices are a little high but they offer the card to help with that. Magnolia is amazing but it's not worth $125 either and without the card that's what they charge. People rave about Azalea for whatever reason but you get outside the cart paths there on your tee shot you'll be buying a new set of irons or heading to the doctor from all the roots you will hit. Greens are great, other than a couple of areas that you can easily avoid on 8 and 13. #5 is the only one that is just gone from tee to fairway and we just move up to about 150 out and play it as another par 3, once again not ideal but make the most of it. The greens are a little slow but understandable so you don't risk losing them. Inside the cart path line everything is fine. One or two holes are in the biggest need and I think with a good rainy summer and some help from the locals they can get it back. We need it in Mobile bc Magnolia is just about impossible to get in on the weekends unless you book super early.
