Description

Brundidge is a straightforward nine holer where the joy is in the walk and the company. Its classic par 36 routing presents reachable par 5s and short par 4s that entice aggressive play. Greens are simple to read yet reward a confident stroke. Without a range, most players treat the first few holes as their warm up. It's an easygoing track perfectly suited to casual golf and newcomers.

Private course - tee times unavailable

I was in town to see my son at Troy and called the course on short notice for a tee time, fair price, super friendly staff both grounds keeper and pro shop attendant, Sheryl. I was paired with a current member and son and I really enjoyed the experience. The course was in shape for the time of year.

This used to be the go to place to golf for casual players in Troy. Apparently now they are trying to make it a “private club” which is actually laughable. This never was a good well kept place to go play golf but it was one of the few options around within a 45 min drive. The few good things about this course are now gone due to new rules that are not posted as well as lazy and rude employees. The new lady at the front desk makes you get your own cart and put up your own cart and will be sure to not let you back to play if she has seen you there twice without a membership which never was an issue before she got there. It was already overpriced for what you get now they want us to pay a monthly fee for a 9 hole cow pasture course. I feel bad for the greens keeper because he does seem to do a good job with the equipment given The only good thing about this course was the close drive and the casual play. You never expected much but it was “good enough” for a public course. Whoever made the decision to go private I’m sure will soon regret it. I will not be going back nor will anyone I know.

A lot of “rules” that are not clearly posted. Members-only now, apparently. Not worth a trip. Used to enjoy this place for a game of best ball about every week. It was also a great place to go to get friends into golf. Unfortunately, it has changed. It desperately wants to be an elite club, but is really just a cow pasture with a low-tier course - and, as a bonus, there’s a woman at the front desk who loves spouting out rules (that, again, are not posted). She very much enjoys the tinniest amount of power this position gives her. I will not be returning to this location. If you would like to go to a club that is decent, has clear rules, and where it actually makes sense that it would be “exclusive” - go to one of the many places around that are not in Brundidge - Robert Trent Jones, Enterprise Country Club, Evans Barnes in Andalusia, etc.

Certain members get discounts depending on “who they are”. Prices change weekly. *Sales tax changes often*. You have to get your own carts and put them back. They smoke cigarettes in the clubhouse. The old lady they have running the clubhouse basically begs for tips, but chastises everyone on the golf course constantly. The level of harassment differs from day to day. She’s ran several people away from there in a years time. I will say, the Greenskeeper does an excellent job with the equipment that he has to use. That place would look 10x better if they cared enough to give him a few upgrades. However, the budget is spent on Parties and interior “upgrades”.

Used to be a good laid back place to play. Well taken care of and very kind staff. They’ve hired someone new to run the front. Very rude. Makes us put our carts up by ourself and go get them out of the barn because “her back hurts”. Does not understand pace of play. Flat out told us we weren’t any good and to not come back on the weekends when it only took us 2 hours as a foursome to play 9 holes. I think the employee just looks for something to complain about. Went from a great place with great people to wondering when you’re gonna get chastised for no reason. Won’t be back.
