Description

Locals now call it "The Whip" a quirky, minimalist 18 routed across hollows and creeks in the foothills near Altoona. At roughly 4,500 yards, it's short on paper but long on personality, with uneven stances and shot shaping puzzles that test every club. Surfaces are intentionally no frills, emphasizing playability over ornament. A charming valley floor driving range lets you loosen up before climbing into the hills. If you like unconventional golf with a big fun per hole quotient, this one belongs on your list.

No defined fairways, rough tee boxes greens covered in leaves and holes that haven’t been cut since 2010 fairways were like 1 in thick. Asked for a refund after three holes

Staff was nice and helpful.Front nine was ok but the back nine is a wreck.Over the bridge needs to be seriously renovated.Greens..?? There are no greens,there use to be,everything is STRAIGHT BERMUDA..!! GREENS were cut slightly below the fairway,if it weren't for the Pin the cup would be invisible.Price is as it should be.Still had a lot of fun and laughs though with the wife.

Got cussed out by the owners buddy (which was drunk) that accused me of hitting his ball. Threatened me and my friends, we tried talking to the owner and he refused to talk to us 2 hours later he banned us!

Absolutely love playing this course! My family has been playing here since about 1994 and we still have a blast every time we come here. Great place to take our kids for them to work on their game as well. Jonathan and Otis are always very friendly. If you need some clubs or repairs in your clubs, Jonathan has a little shop right there in the clubhouse that can accommodate most of your needs. Some beautiful scenery and some sneaky challenging holes for a shorter course. Impossible to beat for the price!
