In from out of town. Dropped into the clubhouse to see if they could get me on. Set me up with a two-some on the Legends course. Had a great time. Challenging but fair course. Greens were in terrific shape. Course overall was in very nice shape. They are obviously doing some work on parts of the course, so there is machinery around, but it didn’t affect much. Only 1 hole was affected by what looked like a flood. They were forced to move the tee boxes up while they repaired the area. Nice mix of houses and natural areas with lots of wildlife. Rabbits, birds, squirrels and even a coyote. For a course that is surrounded by houses, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere most of the time. Most holes had long drives between them. And for a twilight rate of $45, I don’t have a single complaint. Would definitely go back.

So much fun. Great customer service. Always felt sincere and willing to help. Went out of their way to explain everything. I had never been on a golf course before.

✅ Morongo Golf Club The overall environment is truly pleasant. The course is nestled against the hillside, offering clear, expansive vistas. In good weather, the atmosphere is quite pleasant. However, my biggest concern during this experience was the sheer number of bunkers. Many fairways are practically unavoidable, leaving little room for error. A single mistake can easily land you in a bunker, which can negatively impact your rhythm and play later in the game. The fairways themselves are also quite narrow, making them a bit stressful for the average golfer. The overall feel wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped. For the current price, the view is a plus, but I find the value for money to be average. If the bunkers were reduced or more rationally distributed and maintained, I believe the experience would be much better. Overall: The scenery is 👍, the environment is 👍, but the sheer number of bunkers does diminish the overall enjoyment. If future golfers want to try this course, I'd recommend coming prepared and improving your long iron and sand-digging skills. You might have a more enjoyable time.

I played Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in October, 2024 during the over-seeding season The course was pretty solid value as booked a twilight rate for $35 a round, and it was a good fair challenging layout. They also have a pure grass driving range you can use to help with warm ups before a round The fairways, rough and bunkers were decently well kept considering how hot it can get in Palm Springs. My only beef was there were no player Marshall's on the course that can help with the pace of play The round took close to 5 hours due to some people in front of us deciding to play multiple balls, take lessons, etc. We did call the pro shop, but pace of play continued to be a slog so we were just able to finish before it went fully dark even though we started around 1:30pm It is a bit of a drive from the main Indian Wells area, but overall, it's a good "warm up level" course before playing some of the nicer & pricier courses around
